Reign and Rebellion

Trivium partnered with the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation to create the digital experience for the special exhibition Reign and Rebellion. Designed as both a virtual learning environment and a lasting extension of the in-gallery experience, the online platform invites users to explore the Stuart legacy and its influence on Virginia’s contemporary socio-political landscape.

At the center of the experience is an interactive map of Virginia featuring seven activities that guide users through thematic content, historical connections, and thought-provoking questions. Through sorting, matching, investigation, and critical-thinking exercises, Trivium designed an engaging experience that encourages visitors to form their own interpretations of the issues and ideas explored throughout the exhibition.

Trivium developed the website with a mobile-first approach while ensuring a seamless experience across desktop and tablet devices. In addition to the online experience, Trivium also designed and produced an interactive, touch-enabled map for the Reign and Rebellion gallery exhibition, extending the exhibit’s storytelling into the physical space and creating new opportunities for visitor engagement.
