Constitution Place

Client Norwich University
Location Northfield, VT
Date Completed September 2025

Overview

Trivium collaborated with Norwich University to reimagine the lobby space near the entrance of their library. Now named Constitution Place, this area welcomes students and faculty to engage with the U.S. Constitution and reflect on the meaning of the Oath they swear to uphold.

In Exploring the Constitution, students can read and navigate the full text of the Constitution using a central scrollbar tool with clickable content hotspots. Each hotspot includes a section summary, a question that introduces a Supreme Court case, and related historical documents. The interactive also covers the Bill of Rights, Amendments 11-27, and foundational documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Magna Carta.

In Constitution Today, it presents current debates (e.g., martial law and voting rights) that challenge constitutional interpretation. Students can explore each scenario through summaries, pro/con arguments, and additional resources.

Both interactive programs are fully updatable via a custom content management system (CMS) developed by Trivium, allowing students and faculty to add more content to the programs.
