MIT Sloan School of Management Brand Wall
Overview
For MIT Sloan School of Management’s newest lobby branding experience, Trivium designed an interactive media installation that strengthens the School’s sense of community while reflecting the voices and achievements of its students, faculty, and alumni.
The centerpiece of the experience is an 86-inch touchscreen featuring dynamic content from MIT Sloan’s “Ideas Made to Matter” editorial platform. Trivium created a layered media design that combines engaging editorial imagery, campus photography, and animated visual elements inspired by the fabrication surrounding the display. A Kinect motion sensor tracks visitor movement within the space, bringing the experience to life through the movement of vertical animated bars that respond to activity around the screen.
Visitors are invited to “Touch a Bar” to explore editorial stories, student profiles, and alumni features, creating an intuitive and engaging way to connect with the MIT Sloan community. A secondary display on an adjacent wall extends the experience by showcasing additional article content in a continuous loop. Trivium also incorporated enhanced ADA features to ensure the installation provides an accessible experience for all visitors.
This project won the 2023 American Graphic Design Award for Icon Library, Brand Guidelines, Signage, Installation, and Media Integration.
