Explore Strawbery Banke through the ages! This interactive map allows visitors to travel back through time and see how Strawbery Banke has evolved. The experience begins with a modern map of Strawbery Banke, with eight marked points of interests. Each of these points is an important building or landmark at Strawbery Banke, and visitors can view an image and read about each one. As visitors finish exploring the modern map, they can choose to open a map from one of four other eras - the 1600s, 1700s, 1800s, and 1900s. Once a secondary map opens, visitors can use a slider bar to directly compare the modern map with a map from another era. The points of interest remain constant across the maps, but the content changes to match each era. The variety of archival images and artist depictions of the area illustrate the changing landscape, infrastructure, and people. It was a pleasure to work with the Strawbery Banke team again to create this educational and engaging interactive.
