This new exploratory space at the main branch of the Hamilton East Public Library gives visitors a hands-on opportunity to conduct genealogy research and record their own oral histories. Trivium created four interactive exhibits that are the core of the experience. At two touch tables, visitors can scan reproductions of physical records to do a deep dive into select local stories, and learn how seemingly unrelated documents can help paint a vibrant picture of the past. Nearby, a digital timeline allows visitors to explore the history of Hamilton County alongside important national and global historical events. Library staff can easily update and add events through a Content Management System. Trivium also created a recording booth where visitors can record short oral histories, responding to prompts, and a kiosk for visitors to dig into Ancestry.com to research their own families.
