Yonkers, NY

Trivium Interactive recently worked with NY State Parks Office of Historic Preservation, the Stockbridge Munsee Tribe, and Amaze (Exhibit Designers)to re-imagine the story being told at this 17th-century Dutch Colonial house in Yonkers, NY. As part of the State’s Our Whole History initiative, we integrated new exhibits that tell the story of not only the people who lived in the house itself, but also the Munsee, the people who lived on the land prior to and alongside the Dutch. Trivium designed and developed 16 interactive and linear experiences within the galleries. We also added a layer of (web-based) augmented reality experiences that begin outside the house, for a deeper content dive. And, we developed a complementary on-line experience called The Virtual Wing which visitors can access on their mobile devices from inside the house via QR codes.

Trivium collaborated with Saratoga Associates, Amaze Design, Electrosonic, and Split Rock Studios on this project.

This project won the 2023 Greater Hudson Heritage Network Award for Excellence.
